Endocrine laboratory tests

Most commonly performed tests for endocrine diseases is determining hormones levels in the blood. In case of diseases of thyroid gland, it is relevant to know levels of thyrotropin, thyroxine and triiodothyronine (both bounded and free forms).

Excess or deficiency of hormons, such as cortisol, groth hormone or DHEA, may be also  the cause of diseases affecting the functioning of whole organism.

The levels of FSH, LH, progesterone and estradiol are relevant for pregnant women and those with women diseases.
