Ophtalmology is a medical specialization dealing with the diagnostics and treatment of eye diseases. For this purpose there are used conservative, surgical and microsurgical methods of treatment. Ophtalmologist deals with the correction of vision defects by selecting the appropriate glasses and lenses. Doctors of this specialization order and carry out a series of diagnostic tests such as: measurement of intraocular pressure, visual field testing, fundoscopic examination.

The basic task of ophtalmologist is a correction of vision defects by selecting appropriate glasses and lenses. He is also a specialist who orders and carries out rehabilitation of the patients after the eye surgery.
